Adapted from an earlier painting titled Bouquet of Protea or Speak your Truth, the opportunity to paint a large-scale painting within the community of Buninyong with other local artists was one I didn’t want to pass up.
The Protea flowers, symbolic of courage; positioned at the mouth of the figure, represents being free to be yourself and have the courage to speak up for what you value and strongly believe in.
Photographs document the stages of the mural from planning to executing the mural, painted in December 2017 over the period 3 days. The brick walls are well on the way to being completely covered in artworks.
